My passion is medicine.
My passion started when I was young, and year over year with each new thing I learn, it has become stronger. When I would go to a regular doctor check-up, I would get fascinated by the little instruments that they would use just to see if a person was healthy and the white coat that they would wear that let them stand out as the medical genius in the room.
But my passion became something I wanted to aggressively learn when my mom got sick with cysts in her head. She had to get chemotherapy so it would be easier for the doctors to take out the cysts during surgery. I didn't fully understand what was happening at the time. In all my confusion, I kept asking questions. How does this treatment help her become better? What else has been researched and discovered for others who are suffering from the same diagnosis? What is the science behind this treatment? Is there a way that all these complications can be prevented or a way that this can be treated in a less harmful way? I really hope to explore these questions, and one day find answers that we are still looking for, and for future kids who want to know what is going to happen when their loved one is ill.
Camille is an extremely dedicated and passionate person. Camille balances the pressures of school and home with a positive attitude. Camille is always excited to learn, and share what she is learning with everyone around her. She is a deep thinker, and takes the time to ask questions and gain insight. Camille comes to school ready to work hard, without any excuses. She has a lot of responsibilities and she knows the value of her education. She has high expectations for herself and challenges herself to meet them.
Going to Ithaca College was a really good experience and very life changing. It helped me realize that timing is very important but as well getting your work done on time or early so you can spend time with friends. This has also helped me realize what I want to study in college and has given me more of an idea of what I would like to become when I'm older. I am very glad I was able to attend this program and experience what it is like to be in college.
I would like to thank everyone for donating money. I appreciate that you took the time to look at what I wrote and donating money for what I would be studying the summer. Thank you for investing your time into me.
Keep reaching for the stars! And never give up I love your determination and drive for your education and I will forever support you !
