My passion is social justice.
When I think of the term "social justice" my mind automatically thinks of equality. It's fair enough to say that equality isn't often seen when it comes to race, sexuality, religion, and gender. I'd like to help fix the injustice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within society. Social justice is my inner passion. I want to be the voice of the unheard. Lending a hand to those whom need it. To be the good I want to be seen in this world.
I have always expressed myself best through my writings. Therefore if i pursue a career if I pursue a career in journalism, my writing will often never have a loss of interest. Writopia Creative Writing Workshops will help me excel in my writing, so I can pursue my passion in writing about social injustice to bring awareness about the inequality in the world.
Yusra is a wonderful writer. Her style is mature, yet youthful; it is confident, yet humble. These qualities are rare amongst high school students her age. She clearly puts a lot of thought into the work she produces. Nothing is ever done just to complete an assignment; everything is done impeccably well. I think programs like this are so helpful, especially for someone like Yusra, who is passionate about social justice. Writing can be her outlet and give her a voice, one that so many teenagers feel they don't have.
