I discovered my passion for law at a young age, while watching a court case with my family. I was awestruck by the skill and finesse of the lawyers representing a man who was being accused of a crime It was the skill of the defense and the overwhelming evidence that the man was not convicted of the crime. It was during this period that I realized that I wanted to be able to defend the innocent, protect them in trial and save them from a guilty verdict. Everyone deserves to be defended in trial and I want to be one of the people who defends the innocent.
Attending the Education Unlimited Mock Trial will allow me to acquire legal experience from a highly trained teacher, who will be able to help guide me to my future. This program will also give me experience with public speaking which will allow me to have the skills that I need for my legal career. I am committed to the process of becoming a lawyer. This program will allow me to acquire vast quantities of legal knowledge which will assist me on my journey to becoming a lawyer. When I think of a lawyer I think of someone who is capable of defending the innocent and I want to be that type of person. I am elated to have to opportunity to attend this course.
Common Ground is a small school. Because of this, we do not have any pre-law classes or after school groups like Model U.N. If Ajarano gets the change to participate in Education Unlimited Mock Trial, it will be a good experience for him to get to explore one of his passions, law. We do not have the resources at our school to expose Ajarano to this subject area. Education Unlimited Mock Trial can help him decide if he really wants to pursue a career in law.
When I first started I knew next to nothing about the law and how to practice a case. I had never done a Mock Trial before and so I was nervous about appearing inexperienced. However, the teacher was incredible and taught me what I needed to know about the law and how to try the case. I am glad that I took the program, as I have learned so much! This program has made me want to become a lawyer with one hundred percent certainty. Thank you to everyone who helped fund this experience! I would recommend this to anyone thinking about becoming a lawyer.
I am extremely excited to attend this program in the summer. After putting very much effort into getting into the program, I am optimistic about my future. Once again, thank you for all of your support in helping me go far in my quest for success.
