My passion is engineering.
I enjoy doing hands on activities. I mostly like to work on cars or things related to cars. Since I was ten-years-old I always told myself that I would go to school and learn about vehicles. I also imagined joining the army and becoming a mechanic there and helping others. I used to watch my dad go outside on the weekends and fix cars. He called it his hobby so I inherited the interest too and started fixing cars. I enjoyed it so much that I now would like to go to school for automotive engineering.
Enrique is a student that has an incredible positive energy and continually seeks out opportunities to help others. He visits my office frequently to see what community service projects are available for him to get involved in. I also know that Enrique qualifies for the free lunch program and would be the first in his family to attend college. The UCONN Pre-College summer program would present incredibly valuable information, challenges and opportunities for Enrique that he has never had. Enrique has been told that automotive engineering would be a great major for him based on his interests and his experience helping his dad. The UConn Pre-College Summer Program will allow Enrique to learn more about the field of engineering so he can make educated decisions about his future. Enrique understands that this program could be life changing for him and I have no doubt that he will take full advantage of the UCONN summer program if offered to him.
Well hey guys - just wanted to say i am having so much fun here at UCONN. It is something everyone who gets the opportunity should do for sure. Yeah, its scary at first because you don't know anyone but hey i got over it and kids came and talked to me and they were actually very nice the staff are very cool. They work with you when you need help and they can connect more with us because they are closer to our age . There is also plenty of activities to do and you will never get bored. I'm going to get back to my fun so i will give you all an update before i leave. Thanks again for making this amazing experience come true for me and us kids.
I would like to say thank you to all my donors because without you all I wouldn't be able to have this wonderful opportunity coming up in the summer , In July I will be attending Uconn summer program for Animation. I will be able to try something new to be able to expand my mind for my future. Once again thank you all and I will keep you updated through my journey
