Diya's Story

My passion is art.

Ever since I was a young, I've loved drawing and creating things. As I got older, I learned about art as a subject and what goes into being an artist or even a designer. I came from India in 2012 to pursue art. It was challenging in the beginning to get used to the environment, the people, the language, and the culture and the system overall. The time that I share with my paints and brushes is the time I feel most calm and peaceful. Art helps me relax, think, and most importantly, teaches me different things. I want to convert this passion into my profession because I feel that the most important thing in the world is happiness, and my art brings me and others happiness.

Attending Parsons Academy will bring me closer to my goals. Here, I will gain abundant knowledge in the field of design, something I have not done before and am keen on learning about. I will also get the opportunity to create some great portfolio pieces for my college applications. Getting admission to Parsons would, in itself, be sufficient for me to pursue my goals and dreams.
