Segun's Story

I discovered my passion for engineering when I was a young boy. I used to watch Transformers and have always been in awe when I see the robots change into cars. I have always known I want to grow up to build robots, machines or cars. Next, when I watched The Fast and Furious my interest shifted to building cars. First, I want to learn how to repair cars. Eventually, once I have gained enough experience, I want to start my own company that will allow me to repair and augment cars, even possibly designing my own brand or line of cars. I want to be able to build cars that meet the specifications and desires of my customers responding to their needs for function and also personal preferences. I also want to explore how we can make cars that are more energy-efficient and practical.

Attending iD Tech Camps New York will get me one step closer to my dreams. I want to learn from others in the field and prepare myself for college and a career. After this summer, I hope to have a better foundation in math and science. I believe this program will allow me to learn from other students and professionals, which will help me grow as a student and person. I want to be able to learn from others, share ideas, work collaboratively, and become better as a student so that I can one day reach my dream of being able to build and design cars.
