My passion is engineering. During my freshman year in high school, I took a class called CAD (Computer Aided Design) which really interested me and brought me into the world of computer modeling. I really enjoyed that class, and I'd really like to spend more time in it and learn more about the world of modeling and careers that relate to that subject. I'd like to learn more things about modeling and more functions that I never got to use in that class. Also I'd be really interested to have a deeper understanding and a higher competence while modeling. Lastly, I am interested in finding careers that relate to modeling, as it's something I really enjoy I would really like to find a profession related to it to dedicate my life to.
A course like Envision NYLF Engineering and Technology could help me figure out if modeling is something I should spend my life on, and also I could learn other sides of engineering that also might awake an interest on me. After being able to have an experience like this, I know I will be able to decide if modeling is something I should really spend time with and do for a hobby and profession.
Ismael is a student in my accelerated chemistry class, which is normally a junior year course at Maloney. This demonstrates Ismael's preference and interest in science, as he is a year ahead of most of his peers. Ismael is a good candidate for Envision NYLF Engineering and Technology because he is a dedicated student who is willing to pursue and investigate his passions. I feel that Ismael will not waste this opportunity and would approach Envision NYLF Engineering and Technology with dedication and commitment.
Even though I was not just scared at the beginning but also doubting if I should go or not, I do not regret the time I spent on Franklin W. Olin College. It was what I would probably call one of the best weeks of my life. I really enjoyed meeting so many new people that are interested in the same things that I am, and being able to work and spend time with them was something that I really enjoyed more than anything. And it wasn't just all of the interactive activities, the activities themselves and the amount of knowledge given to me in this camp were a unique experience that can't be replaced with anything, and was definitely the best thing I have done on this summer vacation. I got to meet new people, do new things I had never done before, and learn a lot about the world of engineering, helping me decide what am I going to do as a career. Thank you for giving me this opportunity, I don't think I would have ever experienced such a thing in my life without your help, so once again, thank you for letting me embark in such a journey full of knowledge and joy.
I have been looking forward to this event since I received the e-mail telling me I was fully funded and was able to go. I am still deciding what to pack or not and looking at what activities I should attend while in the camp. I have read their forum and web page to be more informed about the camp itself, and my desire to go just increased, as I know I'll have fun there and will enjoy such an experience that has been given to me. I'm really looking forward to this, and I'm just counting the days left for me to start such an awesome experience.
