My passion is compter science.
I discovered this passion when I was in middle school when we had to choose an elective. I choose computers; after my first class I was thrilled and inspired to pursue computer science. In eighth grade, I had the opportunity to join a school club called mouse club, where learned about the ins and outs of the computer. We learned how to fix common problems on computers and we also took one apart. Those experiences made me want to pursue this passion even more.
Attending iD Tech Camp would help me learn the basics and more challenging material for coding on the computer. I am entering the world of software engineering. Programming, an important part of computer science, will prepare me for my future because now computers and the internet control most of our daily activities. Learning to program will benefit me so much and I will be able to learn what it takes to efficiently use a computer. I am going to be prepared for the future and I will be doing what I love.
"Michael has always expressed a passion for computers and technology. He is like a dictionary. His memory is crazy. He can rattle of dates and vocabulary when he and his classmates are studying, we could walk by car and he could tell me everything about it. I believe that if he could apply this to learning Java or Python, he will go far. Not only is he capable at understanding the coding process and memorization factor, he is interested in it and wants to pursue it. I can't think of anything that would hold him back from jumping on this opportunity and finally being able to learn how to code. I think he would come back to the start of his senior year with new skills and motivation to get to college and get into a software engineering program."
Michael seem to have the aptitude and desire to pursue something that he enjoys, this could give him a spring board into a future career. Best of Luck
