My passion is psychology.
My passion for psychology started when I realized that I loved to help others. By studying psychology I will become a counselor or social worker. To be trusted by my friends and family makes me so happy so I enjoy being able to give a hand even if it's just by talking to them. Helping others has become something I love to do so being able to do what i want by working at something I love will make things a lot better.
Elizabeth is a perfect candidate for the Blueprint Summer at UConn Psychology program. Taking the Blueprint Psychology courses at UConn will allow her to pursue her passion for behavioral science in an engaging and intense way that she wouldn't be able to experience without the Wishbone program.
This program will be beneficial for Elizabeth because she will get a chance to see if Psychology is truly what she wants to study in life. The collegiate environment at UConn will also give Elizabeth a chance to see the demands and expectations of college academics. Even though the Blueprint program is a no stress learning environment, the courses will help give her insight into what it is like to explore your passion in a rigorous, but engaging environment.
I believe that this program will help prepare Elizabeth for studying at the collegiate level, but it will also give her the passion and drive to want to continue her education. Elizabeth is the perfect candidate to truly enjoy this experience and to take away from it lasting impressions that will help shape her future.
I will be participating in The BluePrint Summer program. Gaining this experience and actually being able to attend is one of the main reasons I'm highly excited about the summer and what it will bring. One of my biggest excitements is that I will get to know new people from all over and also get a real feeling of the college life. Being able to go for this opportunity is one of the best ones especially since before you know it I will begin deciding what to study in college and how it will go. Attending this program will stop my fear of leaving my parents at home and going off to do what I want with my life. With studying psychology I would like to become a counselor since I love to help other people and give advice to even relate with my own personal experiences. Attending this program will help me decide as to what I actually want to do to help others.
