Emmanuel's Story

My passion is game design.

Developing and creating a game that people will love is a goal that I plan to meet. I first discovered my passion for game design when I was playing custom games in Destiny 2 and Overwatch. In this very moment, I realized there was something more than playing the game itself that I was fascinated about. I was also curious about how it was developed. Many people play video games for a reason: to get away from reality. Developing a video game that makes one feel like they are in it is something I want to do. As a creative person, I have many ideas on how I could make many games even better. Testing and creating a new game that people will love is a challenge that I am willing to take on.

Attending iD Tech Camps New York will help me pursue my passion for game design because it will teach me how the mechanics of game creation works. I understand there are many components to developing a game such as scripting, lighting, sound effects and coding. This will also give me new skills and have more opportunities to go to college. I want to take advantage of any programs I can get into in order to diverse myself. As a junior I have taken graphic design, visual arts, coding , and engineering. I can apply all the skills I have obtain from those courses and add them to planning and designing an amazing video game.
