Developing Independence and Confidence

Being a part of the Experiment in International Living, I hope to learn great things. First of all, I hope to grow into a more independent and confident person. This is very important to me because I've always lacked confidence, but by participating in EIL I know that my confidence will increase. I also hope to learn about Mexico’s culture. I want to be open-minded and help to preserve culture because nowadays many cultures are being forgotten and assimilated into western culture. Finally, during the program I hope to help others because it is also important to give back. I've always tried to help others when the opportunity was available and now I have the great opportunity to help in a bigger way.
