Immersed in a New Culture
I was offered a major scholarship to join EIL in Ecuador this summer! In Ecuador, I hope to learn a variety of different things. This program will not only give me the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture of Ecuador and the Spanish language, it will also let me learn about the environment by protecting wildlife in their jungles. Above all, I am most excited about challenging my Spanish speaking ability by participating in a homestay. I truly believe that the best way to learn about culture is to be dropped in the middle of it. My goals in going to Ecuador this summer are to better my Spanish while learning about different cultural values, and to support growth in different ecosystems. This trip will be one of the biggest learning experiences of my life.

Andrew, Burlingame, CA 3/30/2013Traveling changed my life - I hope it changes yours too! I wanted to donate to Wishbone for Christmas for my mom, and picked you as the student because traveling changed my mom's life and made her who she is. Go find your adventure!
